So.. I thought that I should be making something new to sweeten up the morning \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>I had the intention to make Kaya for the longest time BUT I just can&#8217;t find Pandan leaves here. Finally, after a long search.. I found this at the frozen section of Ranch99<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P10809511.jpg\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P10809511.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1434\" title=\"P1080951\" src=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P10809511.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080951.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pandan leaf = Pay Toey Leaf<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8212;-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients needed (BY RATIO)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080952.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1435\" title=\"P1080952\" src=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080952.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"358\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/food.6eptember.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080952.jpg 358w, https:\/\/food.6eptember.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080952-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 358px) 100vw, 358px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1\u00c2 eggs ( I used 4 eggs)<br \/>\n1\u00c2  sugar<br \/>\n1\u00c2 pandan leaves<br \/>\n1\u00c2 coconut milk<\/p>\n<p>( What I mean by ratio?\u00c2 Break all eggs into a bowl.\u00c2 Make sure the amt of sugar and coconunt milk you used is the same amt as the amt of eggs yield in the bowl. For me, 4 eggs = 1 portion)<\/p>\n<p>1. Break eggs. Stir (NOT BEAT)\u00c2  eggs\u00c2 in 1 direction till the yolks break and is well mixed with the whites. Strain it into a microwaveable bowl<\/p>\n<p>2. Add required amt of sugar in bowl<\/p>\n<p>3. Whisk sugar and eggs. Put in pandan leaves then microwave for 2 minutes<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080955.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1436\" title=\"P1080955\" src=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080955.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>4. After 2 mins, take out from microwave. Whisk mixture. ( Mixture will look lumpy &#8211; it&#8217;s normal) Put back in microwave<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080956.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1437\" title=\"P1080956\" src=\"http:\/\/199.96.156.76\/~binghuan\/food_6eptember\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/P1080956.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. Take\u00c2 bowl out\u00c2 of microwave. Strain coconut milk into the mixture.\u00c2 whisk. Put in the microwave oven for 1 min this time,<\/p>\n<p>6. After 1 min, take bowl out of oven and whisk. Do this for abt 6 times or until mixture becomes less lumpy and the colour tends towards green<\/p>\n<p>7. *tadah* Your delicious kaya is ready!!! \ud83d\ude00 It should smell v good&#8230; pandan smell!<\/p>\n<p>Optional: My kaya was quite lumpy,\u00c2 to mk it smooth, you will need to\u00c2 use a blender.
